Of late, Prabhas’ popularity has shot up, and growing day-by-day particularly after he was cast for SS Rajamouli’s epic Baahubali. The latest buzz is that Prabhas’ fame has hit neighbouring China in a big way. It’s such a big hit that many Chinese are getting inked tattoos of Prabhas. Thanks to Rajamouli’s Baahubali which made Prabhas an overnight star in China. Soon after the release of Baahubali posters, they got thumping reception. Prabhas has struck a chord with Chinese instantly that many pubs in China are displaying posters of Prabhas in Baahubali to draw the crowds, specially youth.
Rajamouli’s previous experimental movie Eega got a tremendous response in China. Released as Kungfu Fly in China, the movie was screened at two Chinese film festivals. So, naturally, expectations on his next Baahubali are high. With this, Rajamouli is now making preparations to dub the film in Chinese and holding negotiations with top distributors of China. Besides Chinese, the movie will also be dubbed in Japanese and in 13 other international languages.
Featuring Anushka Shetty and Rana Daggubati in other significant roles, the period drama set in 8th Century AD, is simultaneously made in Telugu, Tamil and dubbed into Hindi, Malayalam. Looks like, SS Rajamouli is leaving no brick un turned to market this Rs 150 Crore-budget flick. And Prabhas is certainly going places with this flick.
